Blue Onion / Ovals All Ways Ruler by Creative Grids 11/7 (Class is full)





Learn how to organize colors, cut and sew the block used in the Blue Onion Quilt. In this 3-hour class, we will cover grouping colors, cutting your fabrics with the Ovals All Ways ruler, piecing the curved seams, and squaring up the blocks.

You will need:
• "Blue Onion" pattern
• The Ovals All Ways ruler by Creative Grids - available at Twin Cities Quilting. Click here to purchase.
• The Blue Onion kit available from Twin Cities Quilting. Click here to purchase. You may also use your own selection of fabrics. The pattern calls for 12 fabrics to make a 50" x 70" throw. Our kit has 18 fabrics to make a more usable size, 60" x 80". 
Equipment:
• Sewing machine
• Rotary cutter with a sharp blade
• Ovals All Ways ruler
• 24” quilting ruler
• 12 ½” square ruler
• Thread for piecing
• Pins
• Other basic sewing supplies

Class preparation:
It is recommended to lightly starch your fabric prior to coming to class. Directions for starching are available on the Twin Cities Quilting Facebook page under tutorial videos.
