Beginning Quilt Making - 4/25- 5/23 (Class is Full)

Learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a table runner from start to finish.

This 5 week class will cover the basics - fabric preparation, cutting, sewing, pressing and other quilt making techniques. You will learn how to make 6 basic blocks found in many quilting designs. You will assemble these blocks into a quilt top, learn how to machine quilt with your walking foot and finally you will bind your runner.

This is a great class for new quilters as well as those who have done some quilting but haven’t taken a class.

Supplies:

You will need a working sewing machine that does a straight stitch. Be sure to bring bobbins and needles - a #80 Microtex needle is a good choice (If you aren’t familiar with how to use your machine, take some time to learn how to thread it, fill the bobbin, change stitch length and adjust tension.)
