Quilt As You Go - 01/27 (Class is Full)



Quilt As You Go (QAYG) is a technique that focuses on creating/quilting your projects in sections.  Four methods for QAYG will be the focus of this class. By practicing these techniques you will find there are multiple ways to make your quilts more interesting.  You will also learn how to plan your projects to use this method.
Supply List (Twin Cities Quilting carries listed supplies):
Sewing machine in good working order with piecing, free motion and walking foot.
Basic quilting supplies
Heat Press Batting Together
Hobbs Fusible Batting  (queen size will cut all pieces needed).  If you choose to use non fusible batting bring quilt safety pins.
Marking tools (bring a variety of what you own)
Piecing and quilting threads
Bring your phone if you wish to shoot video
Fabrics: 
No finished projects will be made in this class.  All fabric is for samples only.  Please cut all pieces prior to class.  You will not have time to cut them during the class.
 
Fabric for fronts (cut from different fabrics):
Twelve varying widths from 1 ½" to 2 ½" x  12" in length
Two 2½" x 7½", four 2½" x 11½", two 14½" x 2", one 3½" x 12", one 4" x 12"
One 7½" square
Two 12" x 18" rectangles
Two 12" squares
Two 14" squares
Four 14" x 20" rectangles
One 16" square 
Batting pieces:
One 16" square, Two 14" squares, Four 14" x 20" rectangles
