Class Description:

Learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a table runner from start to finish.
This 5 week class will cover the fundamentals - fabric preparation, cutting, sewing, pressing and other quilt making techniques. You will learn how to make 6 basic blocks found in many quilting designs. You will assemble these blocks into a quilt top, learn how to machine quilt with your walking foot and finally you will bind your runner.
This is a great class for new quilters as well as those who have done some quilting but haven’t taken a class.

Improvisational Rails and Fussy Cutting Insights
Instructor: Faye Hoch
Tuesday, November 13, 2018 6:30pm - 9pm
Class Description:
Improvisational piecing methods are meant to give you a one-of-a-kind quilt. Although many people use these methods to make their quilts, no two quilts end up looking the same or have the same character. They represent the unique “hand of the maker.” This is my favorite technique.
Another favorite technique of mine is fussy cutting. It livens up a quilt without having to spend a lot of time piecing. Learn my secrets to fussy cutting. Although some may not think so, I believe this is a skill that makes or breaks a quilt top.
Perfect Finish -
