Class Description:

Learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a table runner from start to finish.

This 5 week class will cover the fundamentals - fabric preparation, cutting, sewing, pressing and other quilt making techniques.  You will learn how to make 6 basic blocks found in many quilting designs.  You will assemble these blocks into a quilt top, learn how to machine quilt with your walking foot and finally you will bind your runner.

This is a great class for new quilters as well as those who have done some quilting but haven’t taken a class.

Saturday, October 1, 2016
10:00am- 4:00pm

Class Description:

Create charming birds with fusible appliqué.  I don't know why appliqué has such a bad rap.  It is so fun and easy to accomplish if you just allow yourself a little freedom.

Class Description:
Take hand embroidery to the next level.  Learn how to create embroidery as embellishment and quilting.  Create fused appliqué or choose your favorite technique.  Use some of the more modern seed stitching and big stitch embroidery techniques to create a more artful and personal statement.  Get one to three new patterns with instructions every month to use as a foundation for each block.  An email will be sent out every month with a picture of our sample. At the end, put these embroideries together as a quilt, table runners, or use each individually. Choose which patterns you want to create and collect the rest for another project. Meet fellow quilters who enjoy handwork and non-traditional embroidery. 2017 patterns will be designed to fit with 2016 blocks.Big_Stitch.html
